Clinical Laboratory Specialist

Duties and Responsibilities: Clinical laboratory specialist work in all areas of a clinic laboratory such as blood banking, hematology,immunology, histology, and microbiology. they preform all kinds of tests such as tests, prenatal blood tests to more complex tests to uncover diseases such as HIV/AIDS, diabetes, and cancer.A Medical Laboratory Scientist analyzes human fluid samples using techniques available to the clinical laboratory, such as manual white blood cell differentials, bone marrow counts, analysis via microscopy, and advanced analytical equipment. 

Salary: the median pay is $68,000 and the top pay is $105,000. People seem to be satisfied with the job and its a low stress job. very beneficial to society but the hours aren’t so flexible. 

Education: Some requirements at this level consist of bachelor’s degree in biological science, chemistry, or a closely related field and two years of experience performing clinical laboratory tests; or a Master of Science degree in Microbiology or Immunology, or registration as a Medical Technologist with a nationally recognized certifying agency.
